Would the Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps # SMFP-3200L Replace 5th Wheel Steps

Question:

I need to replace the steps on my 5th wheel RV. The original steps have no identification of any kind. I suspect that it might be a Lippert LC341502 or a Stromberg Carlson SM-24-39. They have steps between 8-1/2inch and 8-3/4inch deep. Will there be any problem replacing the existing steps with a set that has 9 inch deep steps, such as the SMFP-3200L. Thanks,

If you can determine if the steps you have are Lippert or Stromberg Carlson then yes, the Flexco Manual Pull-Out Steps # SMFP-3200L that you referenced would work great as an easy replacement for what you currently have. Otherwise I am confident you could get these steps to fit, but it might take a little fabrication. Most RVs use the same style of brackets for pull out steps, I wouldn't say that all of the steps fit easily on every RV but for the most part you can make just about any step work on any RV.

This is especially true if you determine that the frame of your 5th wheel is a Lippert frame. This information should be on the plate near the king pin of the trailer.
