Weight Distribution Hitch Recommendation for a 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7L and a 3500 LB trailer.
Question:
I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty 3.7L with an automatic transmission. The towing capacity on this vehicle is 5,000 LB. I am looking at buying a 7x14 3,300 LBtotal loaded with equipment concession trailer and I need to know what Weight Distribution Hitch you would recommend for this vehicle? Thanks.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow. This figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached an FAQ on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well.
Since your trailer loaded weighs 3,300 lbs your tongue weight will be most likely between 330 and 500 lbs. For a system rated for about that the part # RP66540 would work great.
