Replacement A-frame Jack for 1997 Dutchman Popup Camper with 1-3/4

Question:

Im trying to find a replacement A-frame jack for my 1997 Dutchman popup camper but the outside tube diameter is 1 3/4inch and no one seems to sell one that size. Do I need to get the apparent standard 2 1/4inch and try and file the opening in my Dutchman larger to make it fit? Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Bulldog Trailer Jacks and he said you should not have to file the opening of your camper tongue. A standard sized jack, like # BD155032, which you referenced, should fit easily into the factory opening.

The bolt hole pattern on the mounting bracket and the bolt hole pattern on your A-frame trailer tongue are standard, so matching up with the holes should not be a problem. The important thing is to choose a jack whose capacity is greater than the tongue weight of the pop-up, which is typically 10-15 percent of the fully loaded trailer weight.

I have included a link to all of our standard bolt-on A-Frame jacks for you to check out as well as a FAQ article with more information about trailer jacks.
