Ski Carrier Options for 2014 Dodge Durango Limited with Stowable Crossbars

Question:

Hi, I have a Dodge Durango 2014 Limited which has some roof rails on top and Im looking for a solution to be able to take skis in the next couple of months. I understand I need cross bars to then install the ski rack. I have trouble understanding which crossbars could work. I see some people with cross bars that are pretty low and go side to side on the car without sticking out too much. Please let me know what are my options. Thank you.

The Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # TH7324 that you referenced is an excellent option for a variety of vehicle roof crossbar types including both aftermarket and factory bars. My contact at Thule confirmed that the 2014 Durango comes with either factory-installed stow-able crossbars or a bare roof with no hardware at all.

It may be that your new Durango has these folding stow-able crossbars since you indicate that there are roof rails on the vehicle. You may already have the crossbars you need to use the terrific Thule Flat Top ski carrier! I suggest you check your owner's manual or with your local dealership to confirm the equipment on your Durango. I have linked a video for this ski carrier to illustrate its features and operation.
