Will Locking Hitch Pin on Saris SuperClamp Fit All the Way Through 2-1/2 Inch Ram Hitch

Question:

Can you tell me if it will work with a 2.5 receiver hitch when using the Ram 2.5inch to 2inch adapter? Will the mounting hardware span the extra width needed? Thanks

The Saris SuperClamp EX # SA4025F will work with the Ram 2-1/2 to 2 inch adapter. But if the adapter fits entirely inside of the 2-1/2 inch receiver then the hardware might not be long enough. To determine if it is measure the outside width of your 2-1/2 inch receiver. If it is less than 3-1/4 inches then the pin and lock will fit.

The useable span of the locking hitch pin that comes with the rack is 3-1/4 inches with the lock on. As long as the overall outside receiver width is less than that it will work just fine.
