Towing a 17 ft Boat with Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I have a 2008 Wrangler X 2 dr. Manual. I am purchasing a 2008 Bayliner 175 Bowrider. The weight of the boat is about 1895 lbs and not sure about the trailer. Should I be able to tow the boat without any problems? I believe it has the hitch mounted to the frame under the bumper.

My research indicates that your Jeep Wrangler has a towing capacity of 2000 pounds. An 1895 pound boat would only leave room for a 105 pound trailer before that capacity is exceeded.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend exceeding the manufacturer stated towing capacity. I would recommend either a lighter boat, or using a different tow vehicle.
