Troubleshooting Malfunctioning Wesbar LED Trailer Lamps on EZ Loader Boat Trailer

Question:

Bought a pair of wesbar LED boat tail lights last year and they looked great, but the first launch I did with them last month they both stopped working. I even unplugged before launching. I need the angled lights for the EZ loader trailer and the LED versions fit perfectly but they sure dont last. Do you carry this version in the old style with regular bulbs?

Are any of the functions of the lamps working at all, or are they completely dead?

As a first step, I'd remove the lamps from the trailer, and use a 12 volt battery to apply power directly to the leads on the back of the lamp. Ground the white lead to the negative post of the battery, and apply power to the pin and socket for the red and black wire. If the lamps work in this manner, there's a wiring problem on the trailer that needs to be tracked down and repaired. If both lamps are dead testing them this way, they'll need to be replaced.

Unfortunately, Wesbar no longer offers an incandescent lamp, but if your existing lamps are within the 1 year warranty, you should be able to return them to where you purchased them for an exchange.

I've linked you to some articles about troubleshooting trailer wiring. I hope you'll find them helpful.
