Folding Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Question:
Hello! I have a 2014 FJ Cruiser with the Curt 13367 or very similar hitch installed, which extends further out from the rear bumper and is lower as well than the Toyota/factory hitch. My question is, can I use the ProSeries 48x32 PS1040100 hitch cargo carrier with the Surco 1206 Fold-up adapter on my FJ Cruiser? I guess the REAL question is around the ProSeries + Surco 1206. Do you see any issues with that combination? I dont think there are going to be any clearance issues with the FJ rear door/spare tire given the extra extension of the Curt hitch and Surco... Even without the Surco, I think Id be OK... Thank you very much!!!

I have a much better solution that would be easier to determine if it would fit. If you measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point out on your spare tire and it measures less than 9 inches the Curt Carrier part # C18151 would install and fold up without interference.
When we installed the Curt Hitch part # 13367 that you said you think you have we found that it measured 6 inches from the pin hole to the outer edge of the spare. So you should be good with the # C18153 but I would recommend you verify this measurement on your vehicle first.
The Surco Folding Basket Adapter # 52015 that you referenced has not been confirmed to fit the # PS1040100 and would give an unknown amount of extension so it would be very difficult for me to say if it would work for you.
