How to Tow a Fifth Wheel Trailer with a Short Bed Truck and a Stationary Hitch
Question:
Just purchased a 2013 Dodge 2500 short bed, I have a Husky non sliding 5th wheel hitch. Will it work for the Dodge ? Or do I need a slider ?

To make sharp turns with a short bed truck towing a fifth wheel trailer you will need to have a slider hitch unless you have a Sidewinder installed on the trailer to replace it's OE pin box.
If you install a Sidewinder on your trailer you would be able to use a non-sliding hitch like the Husky hitch you have.
Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have know in order to pick out the correct one.
There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.
Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.
