Roof Rack and Kayak Carrier Recommendation for a 2005 Honda CRV with Raised Side Rails
Question:
I have a 2005 Honda CR-V with front to back side rails but no cross bars. I want to be able to carry two kayaks on top of my CR-V, and wonder what I need to be able to do that. Thank you.

Thank you for providing your roof style, that makes it much easier to recommend the correct roof rack for your vehicle that will allow you to carry your kayaks.
First let's start with a roof rack that will provide you with a set of crossbars. For that I would recommend the Rhino Rack roof rack that consists of the following parts:
Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars # RRVA106B-2
Rhino-Rack SX Series Leg Kit # RRSX100
Then for a carrier that will allow you to carry up to 2 kayaks check out the Inno Kayak Carrier # INA455 with etrailer Kayak Tie-Downs # e36ZR.
Last thing to consider is the weight capacity of the roof of your vehicle. You will want to consult the owners manual of your vehicle to verify that your vehicle has the capacity to carry the weight of your two kayaks.
