The Reese Select Plus 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, part # RP30081, should work well for your 2015 GMC Sierra 3500HD with the 8 ft bed. This hitch has a gross towing weight capacity of 20,000 lbs and has a limited lifetime warranty. If the trailer you are planning on hauling weighs less than 20,000 lbs, this hitch will work well for you. You will want to check your owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the truck towing capacity.

I recommend the Reese Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit, part # RP50066-58. Using this kit cuts the installation time in half, because it uses the existing holes in the frame of your 3500.

If you need a wire harness in the bed of your truck I recommend the Bargman Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 50-97-410. This plugs between OEM wiring harness and your factory-installed 7-way connector, and still lets you retain the use of the 7-way at the rear of your truck.

When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the connection and helps prevent corrosion.
