Can the SportRack Vista XL Cargo Box # SR7018 Mount to Toyota Sienna Without Roof Crossbars
Question:
Is there a conversión bracket to allow the mounting of the SportRack XL cargo to a Toyota Sienna without adding crossbars? I recently saw one a Sienna in the Street with the cargo rack mounted to the existing rails, but have not seen any mounting kit online for this.

Cargo boxes such as the SportRack Vista XL # SR7018 require that the host vehicle has either factory or aftermarket roof rack crossbars. This particular 18-cubic-foot cargo box includes mounting hardware that has the flexibility to be used with either round, square, aero, elliptical or most factory crossbars. It cannot be installed to side rails that run front-to-back on the roof and there is no adapter offered since this would have to be vehicle-specific, just as a roof rack would.
If you prefer an option that does not require a roof rack we do offer fabric-type rooftop cargo bags
like the Rightline Sport 3 XL Waterproof Rooftop Cargo Bag # RL100S30 that offers the same 18-cubic-foot capacity and watertight construction. This bag can mount to vehicles that have either a bare roof or raised side rails.
If a plastic cargo box is preferred we will be glad to suggest a roof rack to allow its use if you will provide the model year for your Sienna as well as a description of the type of roof hardware on it.
