Bike Rack Recommendation to Clear the Front Bumper of a Dodge Ram 2500

Question:

Any experience with a front mount. I have installed a front mount 2inch receiver on my Dodge 2500. Want to move the bike rack from the back of the camper to the front of the truck. I am right on the 10.5 inch mark from the pin hole to the front bumper. Will the 63360 up right post clear/

As long as you measured correctly you would have about a half inch between the upright mast of the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack # S63360 and your front bumper. Which is pretty close, because of that I would recommend a similar rack with more clearance, the Thule Hitching Post Pro # TH934XTR.

This rack has 13-1/2 inches from the pin hole to the upright mast of the rack. I also attached a review video for you to check out.

If you plan on carrying any womens or alternative framed bikes without horizontal top tubes you may also be interested in purchasing a Swagman Easy-Out Women's and Alternative Frame Bike Adapter # 64005 to provide a horizontal top tube on your bikes to provide an attachment point. I attached a review video for this product also. This will allow the bikes to be carried more level and will provide more ground clearance.
