Bike Rack Recommendations for a 2005 Mazda 6 Sedan

Question:

I want to make sure that this model will fit over the factory spoiler on my 2005 Mazada 6 Sedan with a factory spoiler and the lower support arm rest on the upper portion of the bunker in order to carry most all of the weight of the two bikes. I have tried other carriers and some do not reach the bumper and because they dont, it causes the trunk lid to spring up from the hinges due to the weight. If you have any other suggestions, that would be great. Thanks.

I checked with Hollywood Racks and they have confirmed the fit of the Hollywood Racks Expedition 2 Bike Carrier # HRF6-2 on your 2005 Mazda 6. They do say that your vehicle has a soft bumper so deformation is possible.

Because of that I would recommend you go with a hitch mounted bike rack. For a hitch to start you would want the part # C11308. Since this is a Class I hitch you would be limited to carrying 2 bikes.

For a bike rack I would recommend the Swagman XTC2 bike rack part # S64670. This is a popular bike rack with our customers that has been highly reviewed.
