Best Trunk Mount Bike Rack for 2006 Subaru Outback with Spoiler and 2010 Subaru Forester

I do have an excellent recommendation for you but Thule does not list any trunk mount bike racks as a fit for your 2006 Subaru Outback wagon. The bike rack I recommend that will work with the spoiler is the Hollywood Racks Over-The-Top rack # HRF2-3. It will also fit your 2010 Forester.

This rack has an additional upper arm piece that moves the top straps up and over that spoiler so no weight is put on it (since the spoiler is not meant to support weight). I have included a link to a video that shows how it works.

If you will be carrying any bikes that do not have a top frame bar that goes straight across (like a typical men's bike would) then I recommend using bike adapter bar # 64005. This will allow you to carry those bikes more level and will provide better ground clearance. I have to use these adapters and without them my wife's bike would be at a severe angle and I would not be able to load my son's bike at all. I have linked a video showing how the adapter works.
