Can Brake Controller Installation Harnesses be Extended  

Question:

I just purchased a Tekonsha P-3 and a 3040-P cable. Is there a extension cable that plugs into the back of the P-3 and into the end of the 3040-P to extend it another 12? Or is there an end that I could add to the cable that came with the P-3 to use it as an extension? What type or style is the plug on the back of the P-3? Thank you

The simplest way to extend the # 3040-P harness would be to cut the wires and then splice in lengths of additional wire to add to the overall length of the harness so that you can install the P3 Brake Controller part # 90195
