Hopkins Winter Protection Double-Sided Exterior Windshield Cover Materials

Question:

We must park our 07 Buick Lucerne under a live oak tree canopy. All types of pings from these trees pollute the glass recently installed and over time obscure windshield visibility. We have a need to know the composition of this Hopkins cover. Is this cover made from vinyl, or other layered materials? Is it durable will it rip or the materials separate? Is it sewn or glued together? Is it immune or will it deteriorate with exposure to UV light? What is the useful life of this product in years when subjected to the Florida heat and humidity?

I spoke with our contact at Hopkins and he was able to tell me that the winter protection windshield cover # HM17511 is vinyl and sewn on the edges.

If you tend to leave the windshield cover on 24/7 is may deteriorate quicker over time but in general the product life should last quite a while. There isn't a specific life span for this product because there are so many variables that could affect it's life expectancy.

The information available on this product is limited.
