Why Does the Red Knob of the Yakima SpareRide 2 Bike Carrier Keep Turning

how do i get the big red knob with the keyhole to come off? it just keeps spinning around. thanks

You have to unlock the red knob with the included key in order for it to be able to be removed. Right now it is locked, meaning that no matter how much you turn the knob it won't loosen. This is an anti-theft device. Once you unlock the knob it will allow the rack to loosen when you turn the knob.
