Instructions and Tools Needed to Install the Strait-Line Weight Distribution Hitch System # 66074

Im a good distance to pick up my new travel trailer. What are the instructions for installation/what tools will be needed.

We have the instructions for you to review (see link). You will just need to take along the appropriate tools for the installation. Remember to park the truck and trailer on a fairly level surface and get the ball mount height right, 3/4 to 1 inch higher than level coupler height, and you will not have any problems.

The tools needed will be a drill to install the frame plate mounts for the dual cam sway control. The drill bit size needed will be 7/16 inch, tube style frame, or 17/32 inch, c-channel frame. Wrenches needed will be 1-1/2 inches, 1-1/4 inches, 1-1/8 inch, 1 inch, 3/4 inch, 9/16 inch and 1/2 inch. I would also recommend an adjustable wrench for the square headed bolts.

You may want to get some grease, item # 11748, to lubricate the spring bars and ball on your new system. I have attached a video of the installation for you to review.
