Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for a 2013 Ram 1500 for Use With Weight Distribution

Question:

I am considering getting a set of the Timbren SES for my 2014 Ram 1500 Quad Cab 4x4 for when i haul heavy loads, but everything I have read on your site tells me that a WD system is better for hauling a trailer, and the two together may provide poor performance towing towing a heavy trailer. I know they install quickly from watching the video, but How easy/quick are the TDR1500DQ springs to remove once installed and pop back in the factory bumb stops if I want to haul a heavy trailer with a WD system?

To remove a Timbren system from your 2013 Ram 1500 would be pretty easy as the install is pretty straightforward, but I think I have a better solution for you that won't require you to install or remove anything for towing or carrying heavy cargo in the bed of your 2013 Ram.

An air suspension system would be a better solution. This way when you need suspension enhancement all you would need to do is inflate the bags, and then when you want to tow with a weight distribution system you would only need to deflate the bags.

The correct air suspension system you would want for your vehicle would be the Air Lift Suspension Enhancement part # AL60818.

The best way to pick out a weight distribution system is to base it off of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is loaded and ready to tow, this figure also includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. I attached an FAQ on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well.
