Are there any additional steps to take that are not shown in your installation video when installing this system on a 2008 Cadillac Escalade EXT with the self leveling rear end?

When installing a weight distribution system on a vehicle with self leveling suspension such as your 2008 Cadillac Escalade you will want to hook the trailer up to the vehicle first and let the suspension level itself out before you do the initial setup. This way the WD system will be set up properly for how the vehicle will be when the vehicle is being used.
