Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation for 2015 Mazda CX-5

Question:

Is the Hollywood over the top bike rack the best one to carry 3 bikes 2 adult and 1 kid . Our car does have a top spoiler. We tried the Thule Passage but the clips on the side straps are difficult to get on and chip the paint. I am trying to decide between the Thule Raceway and the Hollywood racks. The thule one looks less complicated and bulky but I am not sure how it will sit with the spoiler. We do not want to install a hitch mount as it is a leased car.

Between the 2 racks you referenced only the Thule OutWay part # TH56BV has been confirmed to fit your 2015 Mazda CX-5 as of right now. Thule lists the rack as a fit so it should work well for you.

What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses only 3 retractable coated steel cables to attach to the vehicle rather than 4-6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer.
