Fit of Curt # 33055 and Draw-Tite # 65001 Front Mounted Receivers on 2000 Ford E350 Cutaway Chassis
Question:
I am looking at your front mount hitches for my motorhome 2000 ford e-350. I noticed on review where a person had a front stablizer or shock that goes across the front under side. I too have this issue and want to know if you can contact manufacturer and ask if this hitch will still just bolt on with enlargeing of the mounting screws as directed. I do not want to have to take this in for modification as the man described in his review. Thanks

I spoke with my contacts at Curt and Draw-Tite. I was told that the Curt # 33055 and the Draw-Tite # 65001 are compatible with Van cutaway chassis that have OEM front sway bars. Any other front end stabilizers available in the aftermarket can possibly interfere.
Since I don't know exactly what the nature of your sway bar or stabilizer is, neither I nor my contacts with the hitch manufacturers would be able to give you a simple "It'll fit" or "It won't fit" answer. I'd advise you closely examine the diagram included with the installation instructions for both hitches (see provided links) and compare the diagrams to the frame members under the front of your vehicle. This should provide you with a pretty good idea if your existing stabilizer/sway bar will interfere.
