Is a Brake Light Relay Needed when Flat Towing 2011 Volkswagen Golf TDI Using Supplemental Braking

Hello, I bought this system, i have a question to instal my ICX transmetter for a GOLF TDI 2011 , transmission manuel, With a transmission manual, should we used a Relay to instal with this ICX with a transmission manual?

A brake light relay should not be needed when installing the Even Brake braking system, # RM-9400, on your 2011 Volkswagen Golf. But you will need a stop light switch kit, # RM-751453. This will tell you that the brake pedal of the Golf is actually moving so you know the system is working properly.
A 12 volt outlet kit, # RM-9332, is also recommended.
