Pro Series Weight Distribution System # PS49901 Recommendation to Replace Missing WD Components

Question:

I purchased a used trailer and was only given part of the weight distribution system. I have the bars and sway bar. I was told by Draw Tite that the replacement head for my bars 550# is the part PS58442. I would also need a new Shank. Adding up the price of these 2 items gets me close to a whole new system. The potential problem I has is that the sway control brackets are welded on to the trailer frame along with the sway bar ball. My issue is getting a new system that will work with these welded on parts. It looks like the Draw Tite PS49901 is the closest replacement and includes all the parts that I need. Do you think that this system will work with my welded on parts. Trailer is a Casita 17ft Spirit Deluxe Tow Vehicle is a 2002 Pathfinder 4WD with a class III hitch

Yes, the Pro Series Weight Distribution System # PS49901 would work with the spring hangers you currently have attached to the frame on your trailer and would basically provide you with a brand new WD system for about the same price as replacing the components needed.
