Best Reese Adapter and 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch for 2014 Ram 2500 Outdoorsman w/OEM Prep Package

Will this rail rp 30154 fit a 2015 ram 2500 outdoorsman 8ft bed with the fifth wheel prep kit? What hitch would you recommend with this set up.

Yes, the Reese adapter # RP30154 is designed to fit Rams that have the OEM 5th wheel prep package just like your 2014 Ram 2500 Outdoorsman.
Since your truck has an 8 foot bed I recommend going with a fixed 5th wheel hitch. The adapter has a maximum capacity of 25,000 pounds, which likely exceeds the trucks capacity so you will want to check the truck owners manual for its capacities prior to towing.
We have many hitch options that will fit the adapter depending on the capacity you will need. For a 16K I recommend Reese hitch # RP30047. This is a good entry level hitch with a secure dual jaw design.
The next step up would be a 20K such as # RP30928. It also has a dual jaw design. I have included links to video reviews of both hitches for you.
Another option is to skip the adapter and use a hitch directly in the OEM pucks. You can use any of the following hitches directly in the OEM prep package without the use of an adapter:
