Diversi-Tech Aluminum Adjustable Ball Mount that Will do 6 Inches of Drop and 7 Inches of Rise
Question:
I really like the looks of your hitch. Is the hitch with the 2 1/2inch key operated adjuster/lock available in a little shorter version, if I had 6inch down and 8inch up would cover my needs nicely. Im afraid the longer one would drag on the drive ways I go thru while on the road. Second questions is how does your key system work in areas like Michigan where there is more salt brine then black top on the roads during the winter months?

The closest thing to what you are looking for would be the Self-Locking, Adjustable, Aluminum Ball Mount # DTALBM6625. This will do 6 inches of drop and 7 inches of rise. Other than that this ball mount is the exact same as the DTALBM6825.
For an upgraded version of this ball mount you would want the part # DTALBM6625-2S. This comes with stainless steel balls that will resist corrosion much better than the chrome plated balls of the # DTALBM6625.
The locks have rubber covers that are designed to keep dirt/grime/salt out when on the highway. However, due to your climate I would recommend you occasionally spray a lubricant like WD-40 into the lock cores to keep them clean, lubricated, and free from jamming.
