Availability of Complete Trailer Drum Brake Installation Kits
Question:
Why do you not offer a complete drum brake kit for people who do not have brakes on their trailers but want to add them? It would include battery and box with charger, breakaway switch, hubs and brake assy and wiring. Thanks

We do offer some brake kits that include many of the required components to add them to a trailer, but there are simply too many parts to package together every possible combination. Not all customers will need the breakaway box or electric brake controller unit; and many different axle weight ratings, bearing sets, seals and wheel bolt patterns are in use.
But we do provide you with a great place to start, the linked article. The article covers each of the items needed to add electric drum brakes to a trailer that does not have them.
I also included an article concerning trailer brakes controllers, which are offered in two basic types, time-delay and proportional. We recommend proportional units as they reduce wear and tear on the vehicle's brakes and provide better performance.
