Does Reese Friction Sway Control # 83660 Have to Be Disconnected Before Backing Up
Question:
Im confused by the the label saying Does not allow backing up. Do I have to disconnect the sway bar whenever I need to back up the trailer?

You are correct, when using the Reese Friction Sway Control, # 83660, it is recommended that you remove the sway control before backing up to ease reversing and prevent damage to your system. When you need to back up the trailer, you will just need to switch the sway control lever to the off position, pull two clips, remove the friction sway control bar, and now you are ready to back up.
