7-way and 4-way Install Harness Recommendation for a 2005 Chevy Silverado
Question:
will this piece replace the unit that came on my 2005 chev..... it says Pollak and GM on it.... I like the added unit of a flat 4 prong plug....

If the 7-way on your 2005 is a twist-in style connector then yes, the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow Twist-Mount 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector # HM40920 that you referenced would work as a replacement that would give you a 7-way and a 4-way.
If it's not a twist-in style you could use the part # 30955.
