Replacement Hub Drum for Utility Trailer Using LM48548 Inner Bearings

Question:

I have a utility trailer that I purchased a few years ago. I do not know the make of axle. I want to replace the hub and drum and the brake assemblies. The current inner bearings are LM48548 the outers are L44649. Drums are 6 lug 5.5” measure 2.5” on the brake surface. Electric trailer brakes. Can you tell me which parts I’m going to need?

The LM48548 is commonly used as the inner bearing for a AH25555F agricultural hub. Agricultural hubs are generally a low-speed application that really aren't meant to be used at higher speeds. I'm sorry to say that none of the hub/drums we offer would be compatible with your spindles.

You can look online for a replacement hub, but I'm afraid you'll find that replacing your axle with one that uses a more common bearing will be your best bet. We sell some off-the-shelf axles, if you would reply with your hub face to hub face and spring center to spring center dimensions, I'd be happy to check to see if anything we carry would work for you.
