Replacing Trailer Axles for a 7,000 Pound Capacity Trailer
Question:
Dear Sirs, I have a 1996 US Cargo trailer rated at 7000 lbs gvw. One of the axles is bent in such a way that the outside of the left tire and the inside of the right tire wear out like a bad alignment. I want to change out both axles which have the electric brakes installed. My question is, do I order two 3500 lbd axles in order to achieve the 7000 lb rating?

Yes, you are exactly right. For a 7,000 pound capacity trailer you would need to order two of the 3,500 pound axles, # e43SR. These axles have a 4 bolt mounting flange for the brakes, included, and hubs with 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern.
From hub face to hub face the axle is 89 inches long. And from spring center to spring center they are 74 inches long. I have included a link to a video review of this axle for you.
