Does the Tekonsha Wiring Adapter # 3023-P Fit a 2013 Ram 2500
Question:
Trying to install a Tekonsha brake controller with the 3023-P wiring harness in my 2013 Ram 2500. The instructions and video for the wiring harness show 2 plugs under the dash but I can only find the big plug and not the matching one for the red wire on the harness. Everything I can find to read, including the label on the wiring harness package says Ram 1500. Does this harness not fit the 2500?

I spoke with my contact at Tekonsha and they confirmed that the Custom Wiring Adapter, part # 3023-P, is a fit for your 2013 Dodge Ram 2500.
It sounds like you have you located the vehicle’s electric brake control harness connector underneath the dash and left of the steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal (fig. A). It has a 4-pin connector that mates with the one on the adapter.
A second 2-pin connector is located just above the brake pedal that mates with the one on the adapter (fig. B).
I have included a diagram showing the locations of the connectors and a video of the installation of the Tekonsha P3 trailer brake controller on a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 for you to check out. This installation is on a different vehicle but can be used as a guide when installing the wiring on your vehicle.
