Shank and WD System Head Availability as Replacement Parts
Question:
I have trunion bars and the companion mounts on my trailer but lack the ball mount to make use of a load leveling hitch. I never used the load leveling set up with my 3500 Dually, now that I have down sized and am attempting to tow the trailer with a 2500 Suburban, the need for the load leveling system is all too obvious. The ball mount was long ago passed on to an acquaintance in the same situation I am in now. What are my most affordable options and would pictures make this easier? Trailer is 24foot enclosed carrying a car. Thank you for your help.

Sounds like you are in need of a weight distribution shank and head assembly. Without knowing what brand you have it would be hard for me to make the proper recommendations.
Most shanks are universal though. They typically will have 3/4 inch diameter holes that are spaced 1-1/4 inches apart measured on center. I attached a page that has all of the shanks we offer as well as an FAQ article that details how to pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount for a setup.
I also attached a link to a page that has all of the weight distribution heads we offer.
For example, the part # RP54980 is designed for a trunnion bar setup and it includes a shank and a head.
