What Circuit of a Trailer 6-Way Should a Battery Maintainer Get Power From
Question:
I have a six wire coiled cable connecting my RV to my towed vehicle. The battery maintainers black wire is connected to the positive pole of the towed vehicles battery. The red wire from the battery maintainer is to be connected to a 12 volt source. The center position on the six wire connectors are listed to be 12 volts. Should I connect the battery maintainers red wire to the center pole of the coiled cables receptacle located on the bumper of the towed vehicle to get the 12 volts I need? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
Yes, the battery maintainer you have requires a 12 volt power source coming straight from the battery and the center pin of your 6-way is exactly that so it would work very well for you.
