Installation of Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66130
Question:
Doses The cam arm pivot bolt that hold the cam arms, have to be at 19 and 3/8 inches, or can they be at 21 and 1/4 inches as long as the cams are centered properly. I would sincerely appreciate your answer as soon as possible. Thanks for your assistance.

Changing the placement of the cam arm assembly on Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution System # RP66130 by the 2-inches you suggest may reduce the effectiveness of the system. The system's capacity to redistribute the trailer tongue weight forward on the tow vehicle depends on staying near the intended geometry of the set-up. A 2-inch change to placement of the cam assemblies may allow you to complete the installation but might diminish the results.
The chains on the lift brackets need to be close to straight up when installed. If there are obstructions on your trailer frame that interfere with normal installation (like a propane tank, breakaway box, etc) you may be better off with a different system, perhaps an Equal-I-zer setup that uses smaller lift brackets.
