The Redline Adjuster Spring, # BP08-070, for Dexter, Hayes and Foreman 10 inch and 12 inch brake assemblies measures 4-1/8 inches long relaxed, not stretched.
If your brake assemblies are one of the brands I listed, then this is the correct spring for you.
