There are two main things that need to be considered when choosing a universal muffler, fit and sound/performance. You will need to choose a muffler with the correct inlet diameter, and sized so that it will fit in the space provided under the vehicle. Mufflers that are more free flowing increase horsepower, torque and fuel efficiency, thus improving engine performance. However, the less restrictive the muffler is, the noisier it is.
