Will Thule Spare Me Spare Tire Mount Bike Rack # TH963PRO Fit Bikes with Large Diameter Down Tubes

Question:

I would love to get your bike rack that fits over a spare tire. I have a Jeep Wrangler/Rubicon. I noticed that the slection was not specific for the rubicon. Does that matter?? Also the video which showed how to attach the bike rack used a road bike which has a thin down tube. One of my bikes would be a beach cruiser and the other a hybrid with a fat down tube. Are the plastic slots where the down tube goes large enough for larger downtubes???

The Thule Spare Me Spare Tire Mount Bike Rack # TH963PRO that you referenced will work with bikes whose downtube diameter is 2-1/2-inches or less. I confirmed this with my contact at Thule.

This rack includes locks for both the rack itself and your loaded bikes, folds when not in use and fits vehicles whose spare tire is up to 10-inches wide and 32-inches in diameter.
