Trouble Getting Titan Hitch Box Extension # RP45018 to Fit in Factory Installed Class V Hitch

Question:

I just received my Titan Hitch Box Extension for 2-1/2inch Trailer Hitches, 41inch - 48inch Long. I have a class V Factory installed hitch. I can get the extension into my hitch about one inch. It wont go any further unless I tried forcing it...then I probably wouldnt be able to get it out. What is the solution?...remove the paint?

Actually, yes, you will most likely have to remove a bit of the powder coating on the Titan Hitch Box Extension, # RP45018. We have found that since Ford factory hitches have corners that are rounded a bit different than others, this creates a very tight fit with some of the hitch accessories that are available. I suggest that you do just a little bit of sanding and the extension should fit just fine.
