Adapting 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector on 2001 Toyota Tundra to 7-Way Connector on Camper
Question:
Please help! Looking for the best way to hook up my camper trailer which has trailer brakes, a power battery bank and reverse lights to my 2001 Toyota Tundra which is equipped with a 4 pole flat pug. I was looking at the adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole and 4 Pole w/Test Lamps Curt Wiring.

Since your camper trailer has brakes, you will need to add a brake controller to actuate them. I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy, part # 90195. To install the controller you will need the # ETBC7 brake controller installation kit. This kit includes everything necessary for installing your controller, including the adapter and circuit breakers.
We have a Brake Controller Installation Guide, as well as some helpful videos that will assist you with the installation.
