How to Determine Unknown Tire Size on 1975 Forester Single Axle Camper

Question:

i just bought a forester 1975 camper 1 axle /2 wheels. and the tires where so weathered i couldnt read the size . and i need to buy tires before moving it. what size of tires do i need to buy for this make and model . i need ur help . im new at this camping thing. thanks for your help.

I don't have any information about what tire size a 1975 Forester single axle camper used, but if you could provide the approximate diameter and width of the tire, and the diameter and bolt pattern of the wheels, I could probably make a pretty good guess.

You might also try removing one of the wheels and looking at the inside of the tire, the side facing the trailer. The sidewall might be in better shape there and the markings on the tire might be more legible.

I'd also recommend you pull the hubs and inspect and repack the wheel bearings, as shown in the video I've linked.
