Does the Exhaust of a 2014 Toyota Highlander have to Be Permanently Lowered to Install Hitch
Question:
This hitch requires that the muffler hanger be located lower. Will the relocated muffler hanger cause reliability issues with the exhaust flex pipe later on?

The Max-Frame part # DT65MR was extensively tested on the 2014 Toyota Highlander, and even though the exhaust bracket get slightly lowered when installed on your 2014 Toyota Highlander you shouldn't have any problems with reliability.
Exhaust systems have a bit of movement in them when they are off their hangers. The small amount the system would get lowered to install on your vehicle would not be an issue at all.
For trailer wiring you would want the Tow Ready Harness part # 118449.
For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag.
