Is an Adapter Needed to Control Electric Over Hydraulic Brakes with a Prodigy P3 Brake Controller
Question:
I would like to know what the electrical input resistance between the blue wire and the white wire should be on a HBA-16. I am having a problem with my P3 recognizing that the trailer is connected. I need to determine if it is a controller or actuator problem. I hope it is the P3!!

Since you have a P3 Brake Controller part # 90195 you would not want to be using the EOH adapter part # HBA-CAM. You would want to put your P3 into electric over hydraulic mode and then not use any type of adapter like the # HBA-CAM as it would not be necessary and could be why you are having issues.
The P3 is designed for use with EOH brakes without the use of any special adapters.
To put it into EOH mode you would want to first press the menu/option button to view the setup screen and then press OK. Select hydraulic and then hit OK. Select Confirm and then hit OK.
