Prodigy Brake Controller Flashes 2 Bars on the Top of the Display
Question:
I have just installed a Prodigy P2. It starts normally, with a c then begins flashing 2 upper bars while stationary and when driving. The unit appears to be working fine. I found a website that says that means the unit is mounted too steep, but I thought that made no difference. I have tried holding the unit at a flatter angle, but the bars persist. Do you have any advice?

On the P2, # 90885, it can be mounted in a 360 degree range in the direction of travel (not tilted or turned to the side). The original Prodigy did have a limited range. If you have the original Prodigy you would need to unplug it, then mount it within the range specified in the instructions, then plug it back in.
Since the P2 does not have a feature that would cause an error if mounted too high, it sounds like you have the original Prodigy. An easy way to tell which model you have is to check the color of the LED display. Red means original Prodigy. Blue means P2.
