Parts Needed to Install a 7-Way Trailer Connector and Brake Controller on a 2010 Ford Flex
Question:
Have you helped anyone connect one of these and a brake controller to a FORD FELX? I have a FWD 2010 Ford Flex w/out the tow package and wanted to know how much effort I am getting into with trying to connect this on my own.

Because the # ETBC7 installation is a hardwire installation, it is basically the same on every vehicle. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation. It isn't all that difficult but is time-consuming depending on how you route the wires and whether or not the vehicle is equipped with a 4-Way flat trailer connector already.
If your 2010 Ford Flex does not have a 4-Way flat the first step is to install one using # 118472. It will just plug in line with the vehicle tail light wiring. I have linked a video showing installation of this harness as well.
For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885. it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
