Where Do the Side Hooks on the Thule Passage 2 Bike Rack Go on 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe

Question:

Where should the side hooks go on a 2012 Santa Fe? Above or under the tail lights or does it matter? I did not see a video on the Santa Fe for this product but I did see other videos which most cars had the side clips go above the tail lights but the way the Santa Fe tail lights are slightly curved I wanted to make sure I was doing the right thing. I spoke with my contact at Thule and she said you will want the side straps of your Thule Passage 2 Bike # 910XT to be as level as possible. If the straps are more level above the taillight I would attach them there, and vice versa. The more level they are the more support they will provide.

For women's bikes or bikes with sharply angled top tubes or step-through frames, using a frame adapter like part # TH982XT is recommended. The adapter spans the distance between the seat post and the handle bar gooseneck, and provides a level attachment point to the bike rack so the bike is not carried at an angle.
