Galvanized Surge Brake Actuator and Brake Assembly for a 3,500 lb Axle

Can you please specify a hydraulic surge brake with the following features Galvanized Opening for wash out tube Ten inch Free backing 3500 pound

Expert Reply:
The Dexter Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator part # 099-175-00 would be an excellent surge actuator. This has a 7,500 lb capacity. This model does not have a lockout feature, but one could easily be added with the part # T4748800 so that your trailer could be backed-up without the brakes activating.
For 10 inch brake assemblies the part # DMSB18794M would be great for the left hand side of your trailer, for the right hand side you would want the part # DMSB18793M.
I also attached an FAQ article on installing surge brakes on a trailer for you to check out.
