Troubleshooting Pinched Airline with Firestone Coil-Rite Air Springs on a 2008 Jeep Liberty

Question:

In the jounce bumper for the Jeep Liberty, how high or low was I suppose to drill the hole? The picture is really bad, as are the directions for this part. It states to use a 2inch air line between the bag and the elbo in which I did. I made the hole in the jounce closer to the bottom. When I lowered the Jeep, it pinched the two inch air line, not allowing it to fill up. Should I just shorten the airline? Or make a second hole that his higher in the jounce bumpers? How do I remove the airline? Do I just pull it as hard as possible? Or is there another trick to remove the airline from the barbed fittings? BTW~ Remove the jounce to drill the hole. It was WAY easier, rather then trying to trill the hole still mounted on the Jeep.

The hole that gets drilled into the jounce bumper mount does not have a set measurement on where it should be located.

If shortening the line would prevent it from getting pinched when the suspension is lowered I would do that as that should be the easiest. Since you plan on shortening the line what you could do is cut a slit in the air line on the barbed fitting to remove the line and then cut the line to the length you want and reinsert the line.

Thanks for the feedback on drilling the jounce bumper mount.
