Adapter Needed to Install a Husky 16k Slider Hitch in 2014 RAM 3500 with 5th wheel Hitch Prep

Question:

I am about to purchase a 2014 RAM 3500 dually with the 5th wheel hitch prep. I currently have the Husky 16kw with slider installed in a 2005 RAM 2500. The current install on the 2500 looks like it has universal rails currently. What do I need to move it from one truck to another? I notice it currently has about 5 bolts in each rail while the prep only has 4 bolt positions 1 on each corner. Can I use the current setup or ??

You will be able to install your Husky 16k Slider Hitch part # HT31326-31196 in your new 2014 Ram but the rail kit from your old truck would not transfer over because of your hitch prep package.

To install your hitch all you would need is the Reese 5th Wheel Rail Adapter # RP30154.
